Real: Stripes in Paris, what a surprise

I've always loved stripes and this blazer in particular. I have just found that it works with casual outfits, layered over a blouse for work, and for everything else in between. I have bought this one a while ago in H&M but have found that they have a very similar one in stores now too (I believe it's $49.90 so you better get to it fast!).

It works great with my lace-up zara booties which I can't live without (or go two posts without wearing) and my favorite skinny jeans (I wrote about them here). Layer some gold jewelry, and my leather bracelet I have bought in Joe Fresh a few months ago (for which I constantly get compliments for because everyone thinks it's Hermes, giggle).

 I'm wearing:

Stripped blazer - H&M
Dark wash (super) skinny jeans - Abercrombie
Shirt with lace sleeves - Forever21
Lace-up boots - Zara
Black patent leather chain bag - Zara
Layered necklace - H&M
Leather cuff bracelet - Joe Fresh

Cheap and Chic: The Sunnies of SS 2012

Haven't you heard? It's all over the street blogs. The sunglasses have gotten a make-over. I would love to buy a Prada pair, but who am I kidding. That's why I'm giving you some cheap options bellow. We have round ones which are the absolute winner this season and I thought I would not see them after the Nirvana era, of which I actually have a pretty embarrassing teenage photo of myself wearing just these (mirrored too!). Then we have the mirrored ones, I would love them in a crazy color as the one listed bellow from asos. We have the lady like cat eye and the leopard/tortoise options as well, both gaining strength since the fall season. Love 'em all and just in time for those rays.

This would be me wearing the trend (too bad these are not mine but they are urban outfitters - buy here!)

And the cheap version, yippie!!

Cat eye - Asos $78

Green round - Asos $21

Yellow with pink mirrored lens - Asos $21

Metal top round sunglasses - Asos $21

Tortoise with metal bridge - Asos $21

Wing cat eye - Asos $21

Tortoise - Forever21 $6

Real: How to wear a white lace dress

Umm... you must be thinking... who is this girl to tell me how to wear anything? Well, I didn't mean to be bossy in my title but "suggestions on how to wear a white lace dress" might not be as punchy or attention grabbing. I will take the risk of sounding a bit preachy for you to see how a simple but overwhelmingly beautiful white lace dress (thank you my friends for giving me such an inspiring present) can be worn in many occasions and look just the way you want it. From casual, a night out, to a girly brunch, there is a lot of room for imagination.

Oh, did I mention that my stuff doesn't cost a fortune? No need to break the piggy bank.

Dress worn in all the photos is a zara white lace dress from the spring summer 2012 collection. Buy it here ($89.90) and get imaginative.

Starting off with a casual look
very city chic

I love pairing a military jacket with such a delicate lace dress. Add on some comfy boots and a belt to keep the shape... perfect for a day out in the city

jacket: h&m
boots: zara
belt: h&m
headband: zara
watch: michael kors
glasses: ray ban
bracelets: one by h&m,
other made in barcelona
rings: vintage

Another casual look
perfect for a sunday funday

Never think that shirts can't be worn over dresses. Why not? Is there a rule book on this? I liked to keep girly accessories, like wedges, pearls and sparkles, just so I don't look like a farm girl.

dress: zara
plaid shirt: h&m
bag: zara
wedges: jessica simpson
jewelry: forever21

Let's bring it up a noch with a
girly look

I am wearing flats! But these are an elegant pair (sara version of the valentino stunners)
My favorite costume jewelry necklace over a closed front dress - it's just what I like + pink lipstick

dress: zara
shoes: zara
necklace: forever21
love that one
glasses: ray ban

Now we're going for
the clubbing look.

I adore this jacket as it can be worn over anything. I like to toughen it up with red lipstick and killer heels. These are very very high, I am almost as tall as a model in these ;), got to get in those clubs.

dress: zara
jacket: zara
clutch: random, alexander mcqueen rip off.
love the nyc stores for variety
ring: h&m
shoes: jessica simpson

And last but not least
Girly with a neon detail

Want to look sexy and sweet at the same time.
Maybe for a date night, outing with the girls...
I love neutral heels as they elongate my legs
(being a tiny squirt as I am, that's a good thing)

belt: forever21
watch: michael kors
bracelets: h&m
ring: forever21
heels: zara

Don't be so boring and try some of this out.

Cheap and Chic: Joe Fresh, the new kid on the block

When it comes to cheap basics, there is yet another rival to H&M - Joe Fresh. Although their design is more classic and less edgy, the silk blouses for only $39, as well as slim fit jeans for the ridiculously low $19, are sure to find a spot in our summer closet. If you have a bit of imagination and pair them with some crazy colored heels, an embellished jacket and clutch, you can look high-fashion on a low-fashion budget. Imagination is key. Here are some color block dresses, striped flats and scarves, multi-color blouses, and pleated skirts from their spring summer collection. Definitely go in store for more colors and to just get ideas on how to combine these pieces.

Did I mention that the creator is the one of Club Monaco fame? There is plenty of room for growth for this label so let's keep our eye on it, 'cos we all know we need another H&M just for variety sake...
